Instructions

Wash hands with soap to remove any oil and dry well.

TIP: For better adhesion, swab nails with an alcohol wipe or apply your favorite nail dehydrator.

Begin with your pinky. Choose the nail wrap that fits best and remove the clear, plastic cover.

TIP: It’s better to size a bit smaller than larger. If the wrap overlaps onto your cuticle, it won't seal properly. You can also cut or file (our recommendation) if you need to adjust the fit of the wrap.

Remove wrap from backing.

TIP: If you have shorter nails and would like to make the wraps last for two manicures, be sure to cut them in half before removing the backing. Also, do your best not to touch the sticky part of the wrap.

Apply wrap just above inside your cuticle and smooth up and out.

Note: If you don’t place it correctly the first time, no worries! Simply pull up gently and reposition. It helps to stretch the wrap from the top a little to get a smooth application. Just don’t pull too hard, or the wrap could tear! (Been there, done that.)

File off any excess using front- to back-of-nail motions.

TIP: Keep in mind that your first application will take the longest. Once you learn the ropes (and what sizes work best for your nails), you’ll be able to pull off the quickest manicure ever!

For longer-lasting manicures, apply two coats of topcoat (Sally Hansen Miracle Gel is our recommendation.) Essie Gel-setter will give you a beautiful finish as well, but it hasn't held up nearly as well for us. For longer nails, it also helps to dab a little topcoat across the tips.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Topcoats are NOT created equal. If your wrap wrinkles or shrinks more than a tiny bit after application (or starts fading or chipping after a few days) choose a different brand! (OPI, for example, will make them wrinkle.)

OTHER TRICKS THAT HAVE WORKED WELL FOR US . . .

  • Try not to wash hands for 2-4 hours after application.
  • If you have the time, we've found it's most effective to apply the topcoat 6 or more hours after applying the wraps. If you're in a hurry, it's okay to do it right away, but the dampness of the topcoat can slightly lift the edges of the wrap around your cuticles as it dries. If that happens, simply smooth the wrap back down. Waiting several hours to apply the topcoat allows the wrap to cure and prevents any lifting.
  • If at any time (usually after a week or so) you notice any fading or chipping around your tips, simply file your nails a little and apply another layer of topcoat.

We hope you enjoy your  WRAPPED in POLISH nails as much as we do!
